The Research

The MoMS Trial

The MoMS project is exploring whether enhanced multiple micronutrient supplements can improve pregnancy outcomes and support child growth more effectively than the current standard supplement used globally.

The trial builds on evidence generated through the formative research and is designed to examine the potential benefits of improved micronutrient supplementation during pregnancy.

Pregnancy increases women's nutritional requirements, while many women enter pregnancy with existing nutritional deficiencies. Providing a broader range of essential micronutrients may offer an opportunity to address multiple nutritional needs during this critical period.

The MoMS research will contribute evidence to help understand whether enhanced supplementation can provide better outcomes for mothers and children.
